1/5 — Very disappointing and misleading experience I contacted Autohaus Michael Schmidt regarding a used BMW X5 30d. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The dealership provided incorrect information regarding VAT exemption: I am a diplomatic staff member and have already benefited from VAT exemption on a used BMW purchased at BMW Saarlouis in 2022. VAT exemption applies to both new and used vehicles as long as VAT has never been previously paid, which they should know or at least verify with their tax/legal department.Additionally, the vehicle was advertised with photos of a completely different model (xDrive 40i), which is misleading and unacceptable for a professional dealership. When I raised these points, the communication from the dealership was not helpful, and the overall attitude suggested that they were not interested in resolving the issue. I cannot recommend this dealership based on my experience.
