Daimler – elegance at its finest.
These days, they’re rare enough… but in thiscondition? Almost unheard of.
Everyone’s chasing low-mileage young- and oldtimers – and who can blame them? There’s something magical about it. Take a look at this Daimler Six and you’ll see why: flawless bodywork, walnut trim that still shines like new, and an engine bay that could have just rolled off the production line. Perfection.
There are even specialists out there – in Switzerland, the USA, Japan – hunting down cars like this. A true enthusiast’s find, the kind you buy with your heart. And this one is something special: just 49,940 km in 30 years. Driven enough to keep it in top shape, but rare enough to make that odometer reading almost unbelievable.
Ten years ago, you might have picked up a Daimler for a song. Not anymore. They’re few and far between – especially like this: untouched, original, and with that extraordinary mileage. Yes, it’s real – and it comes with detailed documentation. Every visit to a Jaguar-Daimler dealer or specialist is recorded. Low mileage is one thing. Proof is another.
The car’s condition speaks for itself: a solid bulkhead, straight panels, a rust-free floor. The interior? Untouched – it even smells new. The woodwork is perfect, the leather looks exactly as it did in 1995. A genuine collector’s piece.
We have the first owner to thank for that. Years ago, I couldn’t imagine buying a car and barely using it. Now I get it – it happens faster than you think. Our own Morgan came to us at 12 years old with just 9,000 km on the clock, fully documented. Being the second owner of something this well-preserved really is special.
So, that’s the backstory. Now to the part you really enjoy – the looks. Because this Six in Carnival Red is a stunner. The interior is pure ’90s, but dressed to impress: rich walnut, warm cognac leather, a wood-and-leather steering wheel, sparkling chrome, and the original cassette radio still in place. Beautiful.
No faults. No quirks. The beautiful, comfortable seats are fully electric – as are the mirrors – and everything works exactly as it should. No issues, no problems, no drawbacks. This is what truly makesa car.
Now, the exterior. No scratches, no marks. To say it’s in top condition is almost an understatement. How can you not smile at that? Headlights like new – rare for any X300. Honestly, I could spend hours just admiring the condition of this Six.
And then there’s the colour: Carnival Red! In the past ten years of working with Jaguar and Daimler, I’ve only seen two Jaguars in this colour – and never a Daimler. It’s one of the most striking, most expressive colours you could choose back then. Depending on the light, the paint shifts from deep, rich red to bright, sparkling crimson, with incredible depth thanks to the metallic finish. And here it’s paired with what I think is the most characterful interior shade of all: Coffee. No wonder I bought this Daimler the moment I saw it – ready to fine-tune the details, carry out the necessary maintenance, and prepare it for its next true enthusiast.
You might wonder what’s left to do on a classic like this. Trust me – there’s plenty before it’s ready to enjoy with complete peace of mind. And that’s exactly where I find the most satisfaction: preparing it to perfection for the next owner. A Daimler driver doesn’t settle for the bare minimum. They expect quality – smooth suspension, precise damping, no vibrations, no quirks in handling. Delivering a classic under those conditions is a pleasure; the time and cost involved are just part of the job. This one has had a full service, new front shock absorber bushes, triple-stage paint polishing, and even the tiniest dents removed. Satisfying work!
Over the years, I’ve seen a lot of Jaguars and Daimlers come and go. But every so often, one comes along and you think: I want this one. This Daimler is exactly that. No sales pitch needed – a true classic sells itself. I’m already sold.
Naturally, all the original documentation comes with the car: service book, full history, owner’s manual, and a stack of invoices.
There’s plenty more to say about this Six – but the best way to understand it is to see and drive it. You’re welcome to visit us in Uden by appointment. The coffee will be ready.
