I am the second owner and bought this motorcycle in 2022 with 16,000 km. The previous owner also upgraded the cam chain tensioner to BMW’s black version (for more details, Google: BMW S1000XR cam chain tensioner), so there will be no issues with the cam chain on this bike, even at high mileage.
It’s been stored in a garage. I've never used it on the track. The mileage comes mainly from highway touring at low RPM. I mostly used Euro 98 petrol. There have been zero issues with the bike during my ownership.
The chain was replaced about 10,000 km ago and is in excellent condition. Thanks to using a Scottoiler (not included), it only needed to be adjusted once. Front and rear brake pads were replaced this year, about 6000 km ago. Tires will need replacing in a 4-5 thousand kilometers max (currently 2.7 mm front and 3.5 mm rear).
