The car was recently imported from Sweden from its second owner.
Bert has owned it since 1990. Over the course of a decade, he used it every day for almost 200,000 km. After that time, he had the entire bodywork repainted in a workshop specializing in Ferrari and Maserati repairs. After picking it up, he decided that the car looked so good that it was a shame to use it every day. The car practically sat in the garage for the next 24 years. Over the last 4 years in Sweden, it has only driven 70 km. It still looks like a time capsule.
After importing the car, we carried out a complete service at the specialized workshop TS Garage. The car received all new fluids, a new pressure accumulator, new spark plugs, minor electrical repairs, air conditioning service and a new set of Michelin TRX 2 tires in the factory size 210/55 VR 390.
Driving the car is an extraordinary pleasure. The suspension is soft, firm and elastic. The engine is very powerful and flexible, it accelerates great from any revs. The brakes work great, as does the power steering with the Diravi system and the steering wheel returning automatically to the starting position.
The paint, interior and all details are preserved in very good condition. The chassis was protected against corrosion over two decades ago in accordance with Swedish custom. The car has all the details characteristic of the rare CX 25 GTi Turbo version - characteristic, metric rims, emblems on the bonnet, tailgate and C-pillars, steering wheel with the Turbo description, red finish of the gear shift knob and center console.
The Citroen CX 25 GTi Turbo 2 is the final, most powerful version of the model, equipped with a compressor and intercooler. This copy is one of only 193 pieces produced in 1988 worldwide.
Turbo 2 production was limited to just 592 units in 1987-1989 (data from citroenet.org.uk)
The factory power in the Swedish market version was reduced from 168 HP to 156 HP due to the presence of a catalytic converter and factory exhaust ventilation system.
The car has preserved the manual, service documents and 3 keys.
There is even a radio remote control (working) - a very rare piece of equipment, available only as an option.
The car is registered in Poland.
The CX is part of the collection of the owner of the website gieldaklasykow.pl.
