This is a late (October) 1966 Citroen DS21 Pallas. A Citroen DS from the beloved 2nd series in a good condition is a rare thing. This car is one of the most sought after models: A true DS21 Pallas.

Why is it so special then? Late '66 to 67 Models received the new LHM (Liquide Hydraulique Minéral) hydraulic fluid: A more reliable hydraulic system. 1966 was also the first year for the 21 engine. Its the most powerful and smoothest DS engine. So it has the upgraded engine and hydraulics but combined with the classic looks and interior of the 2nd series (the 3rd series came in 1968). This combination as a Pallas - The luxury spec - makes for a very rare and collectable Citroen DS.

This Citroen DS21 was built at the Citroen factory ‘Quai de Javel' in Paris,France. The car started life in France, First registered on the 2nd of October 1966. In August of 1994 the car was imported into the Netherlands.

The color combination of this example is amazing. AC200 Noir ('Jet Black') over a 'Fauve' Brown/Saddle interior. It has the beautiful DS Dashboard specific dashboard correct to the 2nd series.

In the recent past he car was restored completely - from A to Z by DS specialists 'Citro Classique' in the Netherlands. This solid and original DS was stripped completely. All bodypanels have been checked and repaired after which a stunning new coat of Noir was applied. Nice and correct doors and fenders with proper shutlines. It was reassembled with lots of new and NOS parts. New mouldings, new taillights, re-chromed headlight rings, high-gloss polished bumpers, new blinkers and countless new gaskets. The steel wheels have been painted in the color color, the Pallas hubcaps have been polished and new tires were mounted. The body was professionally sealed against rust with Dinitrol products.

The dashboard has been restored beautifully and was painted in the color white color. The complete interior was reupholstered: Seats, rearseats and doorpanels have been recovered in the correct 'Fauve' leather. The Pallas-specific headrests and armrests weren't forgotten. The carpets were replaced and the headliner is new. Even the seatbelts are brand new. It has a modern retro radio with CD and Bluetooth fuctionality for some french chansons during during your way.

Not only the looks have been restored. Technically it has been done completely. The 2,1L engine has been rebuilt. All parts on and around were rebuilt and/or replaced as well. Waterpump, fuelpump, High pressure pump, fuelpump, exhaust, 123 ignition, radiator, hoses and more.
The car was enjoyed by a German DS fan over the last years and he had the car serviced by a DS specialist. Recently the brake rotors + brakepads, LHM fluid, rear spheres were replaced as well as an oil-change, valve adjustment, all filters, high-pressure pump were replaced as well as a new, upgraded alternator with 70 amp charging.

Absolute stunning collector quality Citroen DS - A model and type that is highly sought after. This example has been restored, tested and checked. Everything on the car works and has been gone through. A perfect example that is ready to drive.
