I’m selling my IS 200 what I loved very much but it’s time for me to try out something new. I always tried to take good care of her and she never failed me. The car itself is pretty realiable, it runs and drives without any problem. The engine doesn’t consume any oil or coolant. The gearbox is solid. The AC works fine and blows ice cold air. There is one minor issue: the servo motor behind the dashbord, which aligns the airflows direction makes an annoying noise (it’s a common Lexus thing) in 1 exact position. I took the servo out then take it apart but unfortunately I couldn’t find the problem inside. Probably the whole unit needs to be changed.
Here is a list of services and changed parts from the last 3 years:
• Engine oil changed just 2 month ago (~1000 km) and it was changed after every 8000 km with the oil filters aswell (always bought Toyota 5W-30 engine oil)
• new OEM air filter
• new TÜV which is valid until 2026/07
• new rear brakepads
• 2024 new radiator, and fresh coolant
• the front discs and pads were changed in 2023 and the front left brake calipper were also changed to a refurbished OEM one with new seals and of course fresh brake fluid
• new OEM hood latch cable
• 2023 new Bosch battery
• fixed electronically folding mirror mechanism
• the typical rust at the rear wheel arches were repaired both sides
• changed pcv vacuum pipe
• new rear antiroll stabilizer bar
• new front suspension lower ball joints on both sides
• new steering wheel outer tie rod changed both sides
• new lower control arm ball joint on both sides
• repainted rear bumper
• in 2022 I bought 4 refurbished 17” OEM Mazda 3 wheels with DOT 2022 Nankang summer tires, the original 16” Lexus wheels have DOT 2020 Toyo winter tires on them
• OEM Iridium spark plugs, valve cover gasket, crankshaft pulley seal and timing belt with tensioners were changed at 220.000. kms
