The Honda CR-V is spacious, convenient and easy to drive. You can fit a lot in it and the back seat is comfortable and double-folding. It has spirit and drives smoothly. It's surprisingly agile in tight spaces and handles well on winding roads, but it's very stable at highway speeds, even in strong crosswinds.

The uniqueness of this model compared to the cars offered on the European market is its 5-speed automatic transmission, which allows you to cruise at high speeds at lower revs, which obviously improves fuel efficiency.

All CR-Vs come standard with four-wheel antilock disc brakes, stability control, side airbags for front passengers and head curtain airbags for front and rear occupants. The Honda CR-V earned a perfect five stars across the board from the NHTSA for its frontal and side-impact protection.

All EX and SE models come with all-wheel drive only. Honda calls its all-wheel drive system Real Time 4WD, but without a dual-range transfer case, it's AWD by definition. Under normal circumstances, the system only drives the front wheels. If the front wheels start to slip, power is immediately transferred to the rear wheels until traction is regained.

The SE (Special Edition) version comes standard with all-wheel drive and the five-speed automatic transmission. The SE interior is upgraded with heated leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. Exterior additions include body-color exterior mirrors, bumpers, side moldings, door handles and a hard-cover spare tire.
